Hiroko Onoe, master of Nihon Buyō (classical Japanese dance), graced the stage with elegance and precision, embodying the spirit of Japan’s traditional performing arts. Her refined movements and expressive sensitivity gave the performance a timeless beauty and emotional subtlety.
Ayako Kishi, performer of Shishimai (the lion dance), filled the stage with strength, symbolism, and vitality. This ancient dance, representing protection and good fortune, brought dynamic rhythm and visual power to the show, captivating the audience with its energy and presence.
Antonio Enzan Olías, musician and master of the shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flute), contributed a profound and spiritual soundscape. His music intertwined with the rhythm of the taiko, creating moments of deep stillness and resonance.
Collaborations with other artists have been a fundamental part of TaikoMon’s story since the very beginning.
We truly believe in the power of shared creation — in the beauty of bringing together different disciplines, cultures, and artistic languages. These collaborations expand our vision of taiko, inspire us to grow, and allow us to offer the audience a more diverse and immersive experience.
Thank you, Hiroko, Ayako, and Antonio, for joining us on this journey of Origins, and for transforming each beat, each gesture, and each note into an unforgettable moment. 🥁✨
